What is SSP Scholarship 2025-26?

The SSP Scholarship 2025-26 is a major initiative by the Government of Karnataka through the State Scholarship Portal (SSP). It works as a centralized digital gateway that helps students overcome financial constraints and continue their academic journey smoothly. 

 The portal connects multiple departments and ensures that scholarship benefits reach eligible students through a transparent system. 

The system is designed around Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), where funds are directly sent to students’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. This reduces delays, avoids middlemen and improves efficiency. The portal also ensures better data integrity by syncing academic data, income and caste details with government databases.

The SSP portal covers multiple education levels and categories of students.

Eligibility & Income Criteria

Eligibility is checked using an automated eligibility engine. 

Income Limits 

• SC/ST: Up to ₹2.5 Lakh. 

• OBC (Cat-1): Up to ₹2.5 Lakh. 

• OBC (2A, 3A, 3B): Up to ₹1 Lakh. 

• Minority: Up to ₹2 Lakh. 

Academic Requirements 

• Minimum 50% marks for Post-Matric students. 

• Minimum 75% attendance for Pre-Matric students. 

Additional Rules 

• Data is verified with Revenue Department records. 

• Mismatch may result in Rejected by System. 

Backlogs in Engineering/MBBS may affect scholarship.

Special Scheme: Raitha Vidya Nidhi (Farmers’ Children)

This scheme is unique because it does not depend on caste or income.
